Radio flow
Radio drama post-production analysis
One feature that we had was music. This was at 6:39. For this part, we searched for some music on the software, and we found some intense music. We added this music at the scene of the confrontation. We decreased the sound of the volume, and this set a tone of conflict. This is typical of the genre as there is some form of conflict and some sort of tension that occurs, and the music used for this show would set the mood for tension between Mason and Nathan.
The ambiance was another feature that was part of our radio show during post-Production. This was set at 00:19. As we had recorded footage of some background noise, we then placed this on another track, separate from the one we used to record our voices. We placed it at the same time we were speaking so that it could present that they are in a school environment full of a lot of people. The effect that this would have on the viewer would be to convey how people have a normal conversation at school where they mostly see each other, along with how friends are likely to tell each other anything. This links to the genre as it would set the stage as it would foreshadow the type of people who would respond to the conflict first.
Sound effects were another feature that was added during Post Production. This was at 3:27. We added a phone notification sound, which was pre-recorded and this was to convey that someone got a message on their phone. This lets the viewers know that one of the friends has received a message, making them wonder what it was. This links to the genre as it would give the idea of what actions the characters are doing, making it easy for them to imagine what it would look like that the friends are about to receive a message about something that could lead them to be worried.
The editing of voices was another feature that was implemented during Post Production. This was mainly at the beginning of the program. We merged some of the vocals together and made sure that each voice put together was in the same rhythm. This would let the listeners know that there are different people speaking. This would link to the genre as there is mainly more than one person in a radio drama and the use of different people speaking would let the audience wonder how the conflict would occur.

Post Production Strengths
One strength that we had was the choice of music that we added. at 7:39 For example, for our last scene, we wanted there to be some form of conflict between the friends and Nathan. We added a shuffle beat at first, then we added a guitar riff to follow on with the beat. Then we added another piece of music to go along with the scene. This technique worked out really well as it set the intense mood for the scene and let the viewers know that some form of verbal conflict was going to ensue.
Another strength was the choice of sound effects that we used at 4:27. For example, we added a running sound effect for the part where the friends were watching a video of someone who looked to be the one robbing people. This worked out well as it let the viewers know what they were watching in the video. Also, this would relate to the brief as a video circulating on social media could be taken out of context, which could be dangerous for someone as it could put them in an uncomfortable position.
Another strength would be the voice levels at 4:50. An example would be the scene where the main character, Mason, gets upset as he has been framed for something he didn't do. We decreased the sound of what his friends were saying, then we had the voice of him reacting be set as loud. This worked well as this would present how Mason feels angry. Also, this worked well in terms of the brief as the character is displaying a furious emotion, which would imply how someone may feel after being framed on social media.

Post Production weaknesses
In terms of weaknesses, one of them would be the volume of sounds at 6:55. This would be mainly in the last scene. When we added music, we decreased the volume of it slightly as it took over most of the voice of the actors. However, when the final version came out, it seemed that it did take over a few dialogues slightly. This didn't work well as some of the dialogue was still a bit quiet, so making this change didn't make a major difference.
During the conflict scene, we wanted to add a variety of music to convey the increase in anger at 7:27. We added multiple pieces of music on the same track and tried to make it flow. When it was heard, the sound stopped for a split second and then continued playing. This didn't work well as it ruined the flow of the sound slightly. In relation to the brief, it would have made it sound like the mood changed and that the confrontation about the post on social media changed also.
When we added sound effects, we added a few phone notifications. We placed them on the track where we wanted them to play. However, we placed one of them in the wrong place and it played after the friends read the message at 3:28. This didn't work well as it left the listeners a bit confused. In relation to the brief, we wanted the main focus to be around the dangers of social media so this misplacement would make it seem like people would just read anything and move to another thing, taking the focus off of the real issue.

Post-production improvements
In terms of improvements, one of them would be to decrease the sound of ambiance sound at 2:55. When we added this sound, we tried to decrease the volume low enough so that the voice actors could be heard, which gave a final effect of having people having a conversation around a lot of people. This didn't work out well as it made it seem like we were in a crowded room and that they were speaking as if there were people in front of us. This could be improved by decreasing the sound of the ambiance sound a bit more and recording some lines again to ensure that there isn't any background noise.
Another improvement that could be made would be adding more fading mainly at 6:39. We added the deep shuffle beat during the conflict scene and a guitar riff to go with the beat, which set the mood for the scene. Although it was praised, it did startle some listeners, who believed that it came out of nowhere. In order to improve this, we would fade in the music as a way to convey that the conflict is increasing. During the show, we hinted at the growing conflict that was going to occur, which would present how far people would go to clear their names, and the fade-in music would convey the rising tension.
Another improvement that could be made would be to limit the amount of music that we had at 6:50. We added various intense music, that was already on the software, for the last scene to set the intense mood for the listeners. Although some of the listeners felt that it did set the mood and that they were able to understand how the characters felt, some did point out that it went off sync and that the change of music was random at times. To improve this, we would change the alignment of the music and we would include only two pieces of music along this part of the scene to make it simpler and easier for the audience to listen to.
