Radio drama post production analysis

One feature that we had was music. This was at 7:30. For this part, we searched for some music on the software, and we found some intense music. We added this music at the scene of the confrontation. We decreased the sound of the volume, and this set a tone of conflict. This is typical of the genre as there is some form of conflict and some sort of tension that occurs, and this music would set the mood for tension between Mason and Nathan.

The ambiance was another feature that was part of our radio show during post-Production. This was set at 00:25. As we had recorded footage of some background noise, we then placed this on another track, separate from the one we used to record our voices. We placed it at the same time we were speaking so that it could present that they are in a school environment full of a lot of people. The effect that this would have on the viewer would be to convey how people have a normal conversation at school where they mostly see each other, along with how friends are likely to tell each other anything. This links to the genre as it would set the stage as it would foreshadow the type of people who would respond to the conflict first.

Sound effects were another feature that was added during Post Production. This was at 4:30. We added a phone notification sound, which was pre-recorded and this was to convey that someone got a message on their phone. This lets the viewers know that one of the friends has received a message, making them wonder what it was. This links to the genre as it would give the idea that the friends are about to receive a message about something that could lead them to be worried.

The editing of voices was another feature that was implemented during Post Production. This was mainly at the beginning of the program. We merged some of the vocals together and made sure that each voice put together was in the same rhythm. This would let the listeners know that there are different people speaking. This would link to the genre as different people speaking would let the audience wonder how the conflict would occur.
