In terms of weaknesses, one of them would be the volume of sounds. This would be mainly in the last scene. When we added music, we decreased the volume of it slightly as it took over most of the voice of the actors. However, when the final version came out, it seemed that it did take over a few dialogues slightly. This didn't work well as some of the dialogue was still a bit quiet, so making this change didn't make a major difference.
During the conflict scene, we wanted to add a variety of music to convey the increase in anger. We added multiple pieces of music on the same track and tried to make it flow. When it was heard, the sound stopped for a split second and then continued playing. This didn't work well as it ruined the flow of the sound slightly. In relation to the brief, it would have made it sound like the mood changed and that the confrontation about the post on social media changed also.
When we added sound effects, we added a few phone notifications. We placed them on the track where we wanted them to play. However, we placed one of them in the wrong place and it played after the friends read the message. This didn't work well as it left the listeners a bit confused. In relation to the brief, we wanted the main focus to be around the dangers of social media so this misplacement would make it seem like people would just read anything and move to another thing, taking the focus off of the real issue.
